Le Professeur Associé Dr Mustafa Soytaş est né à Kayseri en 1985. Il a obtenu son diplôme de médecine à la Faculté de Médecine de l'Université Hacettepe en 2011 et a terminé sa spécialisation en urologie à la Faculté de Médecine de l'Université Medipol d'Istanbul en 2017. Sa thèse de spécialisation portait sur la « Modélisation de la vascularisation (ischémie) dans la chirurgie des cancers du rein ».
Après sa spécialisation, il a exercé en tant que spécialiste en urologie dans les hôpitaux de formation et de recherche de Diyarbakır et de Bakırköy. En 2019, il a rejoint le département d'urologie de la faculté de médecine de l'université Medipol d'Istanbul en tant que professeur adjoint et a obtenu le titre de professeur associé en 2022. Avec le soutien de l'université Medipol d'Istanbul et de TÜBİTAK, il a travaillé pendant 4 ans (2021-2025) à l'Université McGill au Canada, l'une des meilleures universités au monde, ainsi que dans plusieurs grands centres aux États-Unis, sur les cancers urogénitaux (recherche/fellowship de recherche). Durant cette période, il a dirigé l'une des plus grandes études génétiques sur le cancer du rein au Canada et en Amérique du Nord, tout en travaillant sur la création de laboratoires de recherche sur le cancer et de biobanques de cancer, domaines dans lesquels il a obtenu des diplômes. En complément de ces recherches, il a intégré le programme de Fellowship Clinique en Uro-oncologie à l'Université McGill, où il a pratiqué des examens cliniques actifs pendant 3 ans au Canada, travaillé en clinique de chirurgie oncologique et réalisé, en équipe ou personnellement, des chirurgies urologiques ouvertes et robotiques. Le Dr Soytaş a ainsi obtenu le titre et le diplôme de Spécialiste en Oncologie Urologique, un succès accompli par très peu de chirurgiens dans notre pays. Il a également obtenu le titre de FEBU (Fellow of the European Board of Urology) après avoir réussi les examens du Conseil Européen d'Urologie.
En plus de son expertise en chirurgie robotique pour le cancer de la prostate, il a appris et pratiqué avec succès au Canada et aux États-Unis les méthodes de traitement focal (traitement uniquement de la zone cancéreuse sans ablation de la prostate) connues sous les noms de HIFU (Ultrasons Focalisés de Haute Intensité), IRE (Électroporation Irréversible) et Cryothérapie. Il est l'un des rares médecins en Turquie et dans le monde à maîtriser et à appliquer ces trois méthodes.
Le Professeur Associé Dr Mustafa Soytaş est membre de nombreuses associations nationales et internationales d'urologie et d'uro-oncologie. Il est l'auteur de plus de 200 communications, articles et chapitres de livres publiés dans des revues et congrès scientifiques de haut niveau. Ses recherches génétiques lui ont valu deux prix de recherche et des bourses au Canada. De plus, son projet sur le cancer a été soutenu par TÜBİTAK dans le cadre du programme 2219.
Il poursuit actuellement ses fonctions au service d'urologie et d'uro-oncologie de l'Hôpital Medipol Mega. En parallèle, il mène ses travaux sur la recherche sur le cancer et les biobanques au centre de recherche de l'Université Medipol d'Istanbul (SABİTA).
Le Professeur Associé Dr Mustafa Soytaş vise à offrir à ses patients des services de santé de qualité internationale en combinant ses connaissances académiques et sa vaste expérience clinique avec des approches thérapeutiques modernes fondées sur des bases scientifiques.
